Foraging

Wild mushrooms, berries, tree fruit - it doesn't all come from Sainsbury's you know. Pick a good time of the year and a good spot, arm yourself with a big basket and head off and see what you can find for dinner... By the way, you should be absolutely sure that what you are picking is edible and that you are allowed to pick it. The library will have a guide book no doubt.

Geocaching

You do need a bit of a fancy phone for this, but if you don't have one maybe one of the Project Workers would be happy to download one of the geocaching apps out there. In a nut shell, you get the co-ordinates for one of the thousands of geocaches that have been planted somewhere in the UK countryside and then go hunt it down. For an extra bit of fun, you could plant your own treasure and submit the co-ordinates for others to hunt down! Search "Geocaching" for the details.
